Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104) is designed for people who wish to work in the area of training, delivery and assessment. Upon successful completion of the 14 units/modules of competence in the certificate, participants will be awarded a nationally accredited qualification. Career opportunities can be in TAFE, community-based organisations offering adult education, or registered training organisations. This 10 week course is delivered over 2 evenings per week (Tuesday and Thursday) from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Assessment is by assignments and practical demonstration. Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, successful participants will be competent to:
  • plan and implement a training program for a target group
  • plan and deliver training sessions as part of a training program
  • plan, conduct and review assessment procedures in a specific context
  • record training data and review training
