The Metropolitian Bowl was built in 1961,62. Built by J.J
Clift PTY.LTD and designed by Harry Winbush.
The bowl center also housed the Marie Lunn Beauty
Salon and the Pelyvans Cafe, which are not operating any more.
The ladies in the photo are the first local championship side, from 1963. Mavis, the lady on the left, is still bowling at the center once a week.
